Funding talent and recovery
We, the Kalam Sports Trust, are a dedicated not-for-profit organization with a vision to create a level playing field by supporting a broader & diverse set of athletes
We focus on identifying gaps in the ecosystem that lead to disparities and conceptualizing projects that aim to address these challenges.
We seek out inspiring torchbearers for each project and provide them with financial and sports-specific support they need.
Vision:
Provide a level playing field for an aspiring athlete
Mission:
Impact 100 lives through different sports social projects in the first 3 years
Year 1 – FY 2026/27
Year 2 – FY 2027/28
Year 3 – FY 2028/29
Since the turn of the millennium, approximately 7000 medals have been available across six Olympic Games up to Tokyo 2021. India has competed for only around 17% of these medals, with a maximum theoretical possibility of 390 medals.
Additionally, India has not participated in more than 50% of the sports included in the Olympic program.
Recognizing the need to broaden India’s sports base and encourage niche sports, we initiated “Breaking Barriers.”
Once a sport/event qualifies for the Olympics, it moves out of the project. The ultimate aim is for all barriers to be broken, making this project eventually obsolete.
Age has traditionally been seen as a limitation in sport, with peak performance expected in teens and twenties.
However, advancements in sports science and technology have enabled athletes to compete and win well into their 30s, 40s, and beyond.
This initiative aims to reshape the narrative around longevity in competitive sport.
Injuries are often career-ending for athletes. Given the short career span in sport, injuries can create psychological and societal pressure that forces many to drop out permanently.
With advancements in sports science, recovery support systems have improved significantly.
An athlete may be temporarily down but with the right support, they are not out.
Inclusive Approach
In this world of advanced sports science, age has indeed just become a number . The experience and quality, senior athletes bring in is unmatched and continued support to them will help the nation get closer to greatness.

In niche sports like fencing, athletes battle uncertainty without a roadmap. Support from organizations provides freedom to perform, it’s not just sponsorship, but an investment in dreams that inspire generations to believe the impossible is possible.
